Bathroom Towel Shelving

If there’s one thing that every powder room can benefit from, it’s bathroom towel shelving. There is nothing quite like having a fresh towel right outside of the shower door every time you wash.

While you can store your towels in a cabinet outside of your space, it is best to keep them nice and tidy by installing some bathroom towel shelving. Many years ago, stacking your towels meant bringing a large piece of furniture into your room in order to keep everything orderly, though this is no longer the case. Today, there are numerous ways to store those water absorbers, and many of them are perfect for those that do not have large powder rooms.

Let’s face it – though most of us would love to have sprawling rooms to bathe in, this is usually not the case. Since many people are often looking for ways to expand their space, bringing in a large bureau or dresser is not always practical. Instead, think about keeping your shelf off of the ground – in short, look up. While some eccentric designers have actually begun to suspend things from the ceiling in order to stack towels, there are other ways to go about maintaining your floor space.

There are many methods of attaching bathroom towel shelving directly to the wall now, including installing plain old bookshelves. That’s right – bookshelves. Well, not the kind that stand on the floor, but the kind that attach to the wall itself. The fact is that most people cannot tell the difference between this sort of shelf and the kind that was actually built for this type of room. The trick is to place it up high enough so that it will not become a bother, and then simply secure it with some tough metal brackets.

If this idea does not pique your interest, you can always buy one of those pre-made shelves that are meant to go inside of a humid space. By walking into your local home improvement store, you should be able to find more than one type of this shelf. Also, many of them sit directly above the toilet, so you really won’t be losing any space at all.

When all types of bathroom towel shelving fail, one last thing to try is adding a few large wicker baskets to your room. No matter how you do it, there is no beating the fact that you can have a fresh towel every time you walk into that room.
