Sure, you can just buy those standard lamps to put in your space, but how will that make your home stand out from all the others on your block? One trend that can be found throughout many celebrity homes is to install chandeliers inside of a toilet room. Now, this may seem rather extravagant, but it really adds a whole different sort of dimension to this space. Ideally, bathroom light fixtures should give off many different shades. When you want that harsh lamp to shine in your face, you should be able to turn it on. However, if you want to fill the bath with bubbles and enjoy romantic music, your lamps should be able to cast that softer glow when you need them to. In order to accomplish this, install a dimmer switch on your main lamp, or place lots of little lamps around the room (if your space is large enough).
Also, consider the placement of a large number of shades that come in many different colors and sizes. A darker shade will cast a romantic light while a lighter shade will give off harsher light – see how this works? Really, every room in your home should reflect this philosophy, but it is especially important in the powder room.
